The members of the English Department believe it is our responsibility to provide diverse learning opportunities in order to guide students toward their total development. Classroom activities are differentiated and designed to meet the needs of each learner. We are SOL based (oral language, writing, research), emphasizing the study of literature and the writing process, with an additional focus on grammar in the 9th and 10th grades.
